The image shared by the company suggests that it wants to offer better services and repair options such as tools, manuals and parts. The company hasn’t revealed much about this yet and will reveal more details in the coming days.
The company will roll out this repair program in India first and further details of the service are not currently available.
Recently, Xiaomi reported a lower-than-expected increase in sales of 8.2% in the third quarter, hurt by intensification of competition from domestic competitors Oppo and Vivo. Profits slumped 84% to 788.6 million yuan, which Xiaomi attributed to changes in the valuation of companies in its investment portfolio.
Excluding one-time gains and losses, Xiaomi posted a profit of 5.18 billion yuan, largely in line with the average analyst forecast of 5.09 billion yuan. Xiaomi’s smartphone sales rose just 0.4% to 47.8 billion yuan.
