This new feature is still in the testing phase and is not available to all users.
The company revealed the feature and tweeted, “Some of you may see different options on iOS to vote up or vote down responses. We test this to understand the types of responses you think are relevant in a conversation so we can work on ways to show more of them. Your downvotes are not public, while your upvotes are shown as likes. ”
Twitter hasn’t made it clear when the feature will be rolled out and whether it’s a temporary or permanent feature. Twitter also says that this feature currently has no impact on the order of the tweets.
Last week, Twitter introduced the ability to add subtitles to voice tweets. The feature allows users to record an audio clip that can be inserted into a tweet. The feature is currently only available for iOS and supports English, Japanese, Spanish, Portuguese, Turkish, Arabic, Hindi, French, Indonesian, Korean, and Italian.
