truecaller: Truecaller adds new features for Android users: video caller ID, call recording and makes this “paid feature” free

Fortune caller introduces a new update to its app called the Truecaller version 12. The version brings new functions and a redesigned user interface. The company has now rolled out the update for Android smartphone users in India. Here are the new features the company announced.
Video caller ID
Video caller ID allows users to record a short video that will automatically play when they call friends and family. In addition to recording a selfie video, users can also set a video caller ID using one of the built-in templates.
Call recording
Call recording allows users to record all incoming and outgoing calls. All recordings are saved locally on the phone. The feature was previously available to paying users, but will now be available to all users with smartphones running Android 5.0 or higher.
Announce the call
Call Announce lets users know who is calling without even looking at their phone. Truecaller reads out the name of the caller even if the contact is not saved in your phonebook. Call Announce is only available to Premium and Gold subscribers.
Ghost call
The Ghost Call feature allows users to set any name, number and photo to make it appear like the user is receiving a call from that person. Ghost Call will only be available for Truecaller Premium and gold subscribers.
Truecaller Premium subscription costs Rs 179 for three months, Rs 339 for six months and Rs 529 for one year. The Truecaller Gold membership costs 2,500 rupees per year.
Truecaller is one of the most popular platforms for checking contacts and blocking unwanted communications. The platform claims that it has over 300 million users worldwide. Earlier this year, based on user feedback, the company added Group Voice Calling, Smart SMS and Inbox Cleaner.
