Google boss Sundar Pichai tweeted about the collaboration product the company built with Trust Jio. The phone is powered by Pragati OS, an optimized version of Android specially designed for it. the JioPhone Next is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 215 processor and is said to have a 5.5-inch display. It will have a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera for selfies. There will be a dedicated SD card along with a 3.5mm audio jack. Here’s what the Indian-born CEO said about the phone, which is slated to hit the market shortly.

Users must pay an entry price of Rs 1,999 and pay the remainder over 18/24 months through Easy EMI. Or the buyer can choose to prepay Rs 6,499 to purchase the phone. The company said it is introducing a “unique funding option” that will make it accessible to a much wider group of consumers. JioPhone Next will be available across the country through Reliance Retail’s network of JioMart Digital retail locations.
JioPhone Next will be available from November 4th Diwali, announced Reliance Jio and Google. The phone has been delayed due to the global chip shortage, but all appear to be ready for buyers in the next few days.
