Samsung Galaxy A52 gets a new security update. While the Android security patch is being updated to October, a major highlight of the update is RAM plus Specialty.
With the RAM Plus function, users can virtually expand the built-in memory of their device up to 4 GB. It helps to improve multitasking on the phone and improve the overall performance.
It must be noted that the feature was introduced to Galaxy A52 5G users last month. This time around, Samsung is introducing the RAM Plus feature for the 4G variant of the phone. As Sammobile reports, the firmware version A525FXXU4AUI3 should contain the new feature. It also fixes over 60 security vulnerabilities on the phone.
Those interested can check the update in the settings of the Samsung Galaxy A52 smartphone. After you have installed the update on your device, the RAM Plus function can be called up via the menu Settings> Battery and device care> Memory.
What is the RAM Plus feature?
As mentioned earlier, the RAM Plus feature allows users to virtually expand their phone’s memory. It uses memory from memory to improve multitasking. Users can virtually increase the phone’s memory by up to 4 GB.
The main purpose of virtual RAM is to improve memory management. As apps and games grow in size, the virtual RAM helps your phone keep more apps open in RAM.
Samsung has already rolled out this function on the Samsung Galaxy A52 5G, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and the Samsung Galaxy S21 series. With the addition of the Galaxy A52, the current number increases to four Samsung devices. Some Realme phones also offer this feature as Dynamic RAM Expansion (DRE). While other brands like Oppo, Xiaomi are reportedly thinking about virtual RAM in smartphones.
