Apple recently paid tribute to its late co-founder Steve Jobs for its 10th anniversary. The company has created a memorial page on their website sharing pictures and a short film about Steve Jobs. The video was also shared by Apple CEO Tim cook on his Twitter account.
The Cupertino-based company has also passed an internal Cook memo to its employees to commemorate the anniversary. In the email received from Bloomberg, Cook spoke of the philosophy that inspired Jobs. It also reflected the extraordinary legacy that Jobs left and how Apple products “help people connect, inspire them to think differently, and empower them to make their own dent in the universe”.
Steve Jobs resigned as Apple boss in August 2011 and named Tim Cook as his successor. He died in October 2011 at the age of 56.

Team,
Today marks the 10th anniversary of Steve’s death. It is a moment to celebrate your life and reflect on the extraordinary legacy he left behind.
Steve believed that “people who are passionate can change the world for the better”. That’s the philosophy that inspired him to start Apple. And it lives in us today.
Steve was so many things: brilliant, funny and wise, a husband, a father, a friend and of course a visionary. He challenged us not to see the world as it was, but how it could be. And he’s helped so many people, including me, to see the same potential in ourselves. Not a day goes by that I don’t think about him.
This year, as in any other, we are reminded of the profound impact our products have had on the world. I’m so happy that we spend our days creating incredibly innovative tools that connect people, inspire them to think differently, and enable them to make their own dent in the universe too. It’s one of the many gifts Steve gave us all.
I wish Steve were here to see his spirit live on in all of your great work. But most of all, I wish he could see what you do next. Steve once said that his proudest accomplishments were the ones to come. He spent every day imagining a future no one else could see and worked tirelessly to bring his vision to life.
Steve was a unique character, but he taught us all to levitate. I miss him and will always cherish him.
Tim
