OnePlus has finally unveiled its newest smartphone, the OnePlus 9RT, a successor to the 9R model launched by the company last year. The new smartphone may not be brand new or different from its predecessor, but it has received a few major upgrades.
OnePlus 9RT display
The new OnePlus smartphone has a 6.6-inch FHD + Samsung E4 AMOLED display with an aspect ratio of 20: 9. The display achieves a peak brightness of 1300 nits and a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. The company also announced that the smartphone’s display is 100% of the DCI-P3 color space and has a touch sampling rate of 1300 Hz .
OnePlus 9RT chipset
Unlike the OnePlus 9R, which is powered by a Snapdragon 870 chipset, the new OnePlus 9RT features Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 888 chipset. The smartphone with 5 nm chipset will be available in three variants – 8 GB RAM + 128 GB internal memory, 8 GB RAM + 256 GB internal memory and 12 GB + 256 GB internal memory.
OnePlus 9RT camera
When it comes to cameras, the new OnePlus 9RT smartphone also gets an update from its predecessor. The new device gets a more impressive 50MP Sony IMX766 main sensor with an f / 1.88 aperture and OIS. The main lens is joined by a 16-megapixel secondary sensor with an f / 2.2 ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2-megapixel macro shooter. The camera setup also gets a dual LED flash. The triple camera setup is said to offer hybrid focus and 4K video recording.
As for the selfie camera, the smartphone has a 16 megapixel Sony IMX471 camera with an f / 2.4 lens. The front camera is also given electronic image stabilization.
OnePlus 9RT battery
On the front of the battery, the device houses a 4,500 mAh dual-cell battery that supports 65 W fast charging.
The smartphone is currently only available in China and global availability is not yet known. It is likely that the company will bring devices to the Indian market soon.
