Jio has added new streaming service JioGamesWatch under its JioGames platform in India. The platform will provide game streamers to stream games on different devices under all connection conditions. With this, Jio wants to compete with popular game streaming platforms like Twitch, YouTube and others.
Gamers in India can live stream their gameplay and even find Video on Demand (VOD) streams on JioWatchGames. The platform allows them to stream games Android, iOS and even set top boxes directly.
This functionality is available in the JioGames app for Android and iOS. Also, it is available on the Jio set top box home screen.
Jio says it launched JioGamesWatch”after a deep dive into the tastes and likes of the gaming community. The platform aims to empower and enable developers to go live with any device and with low latency, presenting the best of their content to millions of viewers.”
To enable a lag-free and smooth streaming experience, the platform supports streaming in high definition. Streamers can choose between FHD (1920 x 1080p), HD (1280 x 720p) and more even with low latency. JioGamesWatch also allows users to participate in various community esports events.
Additionally, JioGamesWatch has various resources to get you started, including FAQs and even a guide on how to stream games with the settings you want enabled. So what do you think of the new JioGamesWatch platform? Will you use the platform? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
