Hero Glamor Xtec launched: This new Hero motorcycle has turn-by-turn navigation, Bluetooth and a USB charging port

Hero MotoCorp has announced its most advanced motorcycle in the Glamor Xtec computer segment in India. Apart from a normal 125ccm displacement, the Glamor Xtec is on board with modern technical advances such as built-in turn-by-turn navigation, Bluetooth connectivity and a USB charging port.
Other features include the engine shutdown switch, slope sensor, and LED headlights. According to the company, the Glamor Xtec is the first motorcycle in the segment to offer such features.

The Glamor Xtec is available in two versions – the drum brake model, which costs Rs 78,900 from the showroom and Rs 83,500 for the disc version from the showroom.
Hero Glamor Xtec: Connectivity and security functions
As mentioned earlier, Hero MotoCorp’s Xtex motorcycle has turn-by-turn navigation and Bluetooth connectivity. It also supports Google Maps and SMS notifications through the dedicated app which is available for both Android and iOS.
Other safety functions include gear indicator, eco mode, tachometer and real-time odometer reading.
The bike is also equipped with a kickstand indicator, a kickstand engine shutdown and a lean angle sensor to shut off the engine in the event of a fall.
Hero Glamor Xtec: Engine and Other Specifications
The Hero Glamor Xtec is equipped with the same 125cc engine we saw on the last few Glamor models. The engine is BS-VI compatible with XSens Programmed Fuel Injection (PGMFI) technology to save fuel.
It produces a maximum power of 10.6 hp at 7500 rpm and a maximum torque of 10.6 Nm at 6600 rpm.

The motorcycle is also equipped with the well-known i3S (idle start-stop system), which we first saw on the Splendor i3S motorcycle.
The Glamor Xtec is equipped with a 5-stage adjustable hydraulic shock absorber suspension and a 240 mm front disc brake (in the disc brake model). The ground clearance of the bike is 180mm
