Buddy: Honor could launch its Magic X foldable phone in the fourth quarter

GizmoChina reports that the company is working on its first foldable phone, codenamed Magic X, and is expected to launch in the fourth quarter of this year.

Display analyst Ross Young had previously claimed that Honor’s first foldable phone will come with foldable panels from BOE and Visionox. Other reports have claimed it will have an 8-inch inner foldable display and a 6.5-inch cover display.
Previously CEO of Honor George Zhao announced that his company is working on a foldable phone and believes it will be the best in the business. When we see what the Mate X2 is like and that Honor is not restricted by the sanctions against Huawei, we wouldn’t be surprised if it actually did.
It is also speculated that Honor will soon announce a new smartphone called the Honor X20 Max. It is expected to come with a huge 7.2-inch display with Full HD + resolution, Dimensity 1100 chipset and a 6,000 mAh battery with 66 W fast charge capability. For photography, it can have a 64-megapixel + 2-megapixel (macro) + 2-megapixel (depth) triple camera unit.
GizmoChina also reported that Huawei is working on a Mate V clamshell phone with a foldable screen, which may also become official in the fourth quarter of this year. It will be available at a much lower price and will likely be aimed at the female audience. At the same time, the brand is also expected to announce the GT3 series and the Watch D series of smartwatches.
